Only five percent of the population in rural Madagascar has access to clean drinking water, leading to widespread illness and high infant mortality rates. By implementing a simple and inexpensive water supply system with solar pumps, two villages with 3,891 inhabitants now have access to clean water that not only prevents disease but also reduces CO2 emissions that result from boiling water. This technology for clean drinking water helps fight global warming by providing clean water without the need for boiling over open fires, which leads to CO2 emissions and deforestation.
Clean drinking water projects are registered with international standards to ensure their effectiveness.
