BAUX Acoustic Wood Wool
We aim to create the lowest possible environmental impact across our whole material chain – from the original raw material to production, delivery, installation, usage and recycling or re-usage of products. We continue to make progress and continuous improvements towards this goal. Forests are PEFC and FSC certified, and timber is collected close to the factory to minimise environmental impact. Entire logs are used in production, and waste from all stages of production is ground down and reused for new products or used to heat our factory.
BAUX Acoustic Pulp
We aim to create the lowest possible environmental impact across our whole material chain – from the original raw material to production, delivery, installation, usage and recycling or re-usage of products. We continue to make progress and continuous improvements towards this goal. All cellulose comes from Swedish PEFC and FSC-certified forests. The Acoustic Pulp leftover ingredients and water are recycled back into the factory’s closed circular system to be reused in the next batch. The only emission generated from production is a tiny amount of pure and clean water vapour that’s released as the material dries.
BAUX Acoustic Felt Recycled PET
BAUX Acoustic Felt Recycled PET is made from the excess of unwanted plastics in the world. By selecting a product made out of recycled PET, you contribute to a more sustainable world. BAUX can present a GRS-certified source of recycled PET, accredited by IOAS and sourced from various recycling entities across Europe. The hardware for all BAUX Acoustic Felt Recycled PET products is made to minimise unnecessary production and streamline the assembly process; we downsized our hardware kit to just four standardised and meticulously designed pieces. They’re made out of 100% recyclable metal and 100% recycled plastic, and they work for the entire BAUX Acoustic Felt Recycled PET system. Furthermore, we aim for climate neutrality across our entire business, from raw materials to manufacturing, office environment and transportation. Read more about our environmental efforts here.
BAUX Acoustic X-FELT
BAUX Acoustic X-FELT is designed with sustainability at its core, making it an environmentally friendly alternative in the acoustic panel industry. Unlike traditional products that rely on additives or surface treatment chemicals to achieve fire resistance, X-FELT uses an innovative approach without the need for any surface treatment at all. Normally, phosphates or mineral treatments are used as flame retardants. However, when these substances enter the environment, they contribute to eutrophication, causing harmful algal blooms and depleting oxygen levels in water bodies, which severely impacts aquatic ecosystems. Additionally, some phosphate compounds can degrade into toxic chemicals, amplifying the environmental risks for water sources and wildlife. With BAUX Acoustic X-FELT, these risks are entirely avoided. Our innovative design ensures superior fire safety while protecting ecosystems and promoting sustainability.
