Calgary Boardroom - a conversation starter

OPUS Corporation was looking to create a space that was in keeping with their business interests in construction and property development. Taking inspiration from luxury residential design, Interior Design firm Jerilyn Wright & Associates helped to create a contemporary space where visitors feel instantly relaxed. Visible through the glass wall of the meeting room, the BAUX eco-friendly acoustic design provides a surprise moment as you transition through the space. Not only does it make a visual statement, it’s become an interactive tool and talking point during meetings. As the wood wool BAUX eco-friendly acoustic tiles are attached magnetically to the wall, sections can be removed to illustrate modern building strategies.

Wood wool tiles are eco-friendly, so the BAUX design is a validation of the client’s commitment to sustainable construction practices. As the meeting room can seat anywhere between three to thirty people, BAUX’s ability to regulate temperature, humidity and sound reflections help to create a comfortable meeting environment for large or small groups. The colourful pattern contrasts the neutral feel of glass, wood and chrome and makes for an eye-catching conversation starter.

Eco-friendly luxury
Taking inspiration from luxury residential design, this contemporary space with eco-friendly acoustic wood wool tiles is a validation of the client’s commitment to sustainable construction practices.

A topic of discussion
Visible through the glass wall of the meeting room, the BAUX design provides a surprise moment as you transition through the space. The colourful pattern contrasts the neutral feel of glass, wood and chrome and makes for an eye-catching conversation starter.

Once we came across the BAUX concept, we realized it could be a focal point in the room and larger space. The geometric shapes fit together like a building, which fits with the client’s interests in construction. The client loves the interactive quality – it’s a story and a conversation starter.
