J.Lindeberg’s Stockholm headquarters elegantly expresses the brand’s heritage and identity. With the goal of bringing teams back to the office, Joyn Studio developed a physical brand platform — House of J.Lindeberg — that supports focused work and creative collaboration. The result is a workplace that reflects both the ambition of the brand and the needs of its workers.
The brief began with a focus on employer branding in the physical workplace — specifically, how to welcome employees back after COVID. Joyn Studio’s concept, House of J.Lindeberg, reflects the brand’s Scandinavian heritage and its unique position between fashion and sport. The refurbishment of their office in the famous Fotografiska building makes the most of its location — with views of the water and Stockholm’s skyline adding inspiration to the daily rhythm of work.
House of J.Lindeberg features interiors furnished with a classic Scandinavian blend of wood, glass, and modern finishes, balanced with exposed metal, high-gloss light blue accents, and warm beige walls. Together, these elements form a subtle backdrop for the brand’s collections. For a high-fashion brand, premium materials were essential, and BAUX Acoustic Pulp provided the right blend of character, aesthetics, and function. The matte texture of the natural wheat tiles echoes J.Lindeberg’s ski heritage and recalls the look of a freshly groomed piste.
Some areas of the new office are activity-based, while other spaces have assigned desks for workers. As employees now spend more time in digital and physical meetings, the design team introduced more meeting rooms and telephone booths. These meeting spaces have been lined with BAUX Acoustic Pulp to provide acoustic comfort for video calls — a vital factor in encouraging employees to return to the office after experiencing the quiet of working from home.
BAUX Acoustic Pulp has also been used in the café and smaller meeting spaces where acoustics were an important aspect of the interior design. In busy areas like a café or working lounge, BAUX Pulp helps soften echoes and reduce noise levels, creating a calmer environment where staff can pause, relax, and feel at home.
Sustainability was an important material consideration for the client. J.Lindeberg wanted the workplace to reflect a forward-thinking brand identity. BAUX Acoustic Pulp, made from wood fibres, water, and wheat bran, was a natural solution. Free from chemicals and fully recyclable, it is the most sustainable product in the BAUX portfolio, offering both ecological integrity and a soft, natural backdrop for the workspace.
From materiality and colour to spatial flow, every detail of the House of J.Lindeberg communicates harmony, inspiration, and attitude. More than a refurbishment, it is a cultural shift: an office where ideas grow, teams connect, and the J.Lindeberg brand lives and breathes
