Dentme is reimagining dentistry, creating spaces where interior design harmonises thoughts to calm the mind. Dentme’s latest practice in Sveavägen, Stockholm, blends period architecture with futuristic design. The building, a former cinema, stretches over three floors and 1,500 sqm to create a space that redefines the dental experience.
Stepping into Dentme Sveavägen is like entering a serene retreat. The space is designed to guide patients through distinct sensory experiences. At the entrance, a vibrant pulse sets the tone – sumptuous greens, soft lighting, and chilled beats create a welcoming energy. Original period windows frame a staircase that leads down to a refreshment area, complete with a barista station and the teeth-brushing regions set against a moss wall mural.

Waiting area
At the heart of the interior space is the waiting area – a sanctuary of sensory design where harmony and stillness take centre stage. Acoustics have been masterfully adapted to ensure this is the calmest area of the space, and a backlit BAUX Acoustic Pulp Bio Colour design, framed in stainless steel, dampens sound reflections throughout the space. The origami patterning of the BAUX Acoustic Pulp tiles introduces a new dimension to the space. The lines create a language and uniformity that calms the mind. The feeling is zen and futuristic.

For Dentme’s interior, BAUX Acoustic Pulp was the perfect fit delivering world-class sustainable acoustic design. BAUX Acoustic Pulp products are 100% biobased and deliver uncompromised sound absorption with future-proof sustainability. Crafted from spruce, pine, and wheat bran, every BAUX Acoustic Pulp panel tells a story, with natural variations making each piece one-of-a-kind. These subtle variations are the mark of true bio-based design.
The interior at Dentme Sveavägen has prioritised sustainable design choices. In the waiting area, a repurposed 3D-printed head sculpture mirrored to create the illusion of three serves as a striking focal point, while recycled carpets, glitter floors and a starlit ceiling create a dreamy, ethereal feeling that suspends thoughts and invites a state of relaxation.
Through a seamless blend of acoustic innovation and sustainable design, Dentme has crafted a space that nurtures tranquillity and well-being for patients and staff alike. The result is a space that redefines the dental experience and sustainable, sensory-driven design.
